Becky Hallowell teaches fourth grade in midcoast Maine. In her 30 years of teaching, Hallowell has enjoyed taking students from kindergarten through fifth grade outside to learn. She is always looking for more ways to integrate nature throughout the curriculum and has created an after-school Ecology Club to allow students more time to learn in nature. Hallowell holds a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in educational leadership. She is the 2024 Lincoln County Teacher of the Year and the 2025 Maine Teacher of the Year.
