Sara K. Ahmed is the author of Being the Change, and coauthor, with Smokey Daniels, of Upstanders. She currently serves as the Director of Curriculum Integration and Innovation at Catherine Cook School in Chicago. An international speaker and staff developer, she empowers educators worldwide through curriculum development and professional growth, bridging literacy, inquiry, and social identity work. Her experience includes teaching and coaching in public, private, and international schools. Sara consistently designs spaces where students examine their identities and see the humanity in others.
When she is not in the classroom or meeting with teachers, you can find her coaching the soccer (football) teams at school or playing tennis with her dad.
