Student-Led Curiosity and Connection

Ava Smith teaches third grade in central Ohio and is in her third year of teaching. She earned her undergraduate degree in early childhood education with a minor in special education from Kent State University and completed her Master's in reading at Ohio University. Ava is a literacy lead within her district and advocates for equitable, student-centered literacy practices. Ava is passionate about creating a loving learning community where she learns alongside her students and celebrates the joy in their daily adventures.
